A draft proposal for the amendment of Electricity Act, 2003 (36 of 2003) in the form of the draft Electricity Act (Amendment) Bill, 2020 (“the draft Bill”) was released by the Ministry of Power, Government of India on April 17, 2020. In this document, we present our initial comments and recommendations in response to the draft Bill.
